Itsuki is Hina's childhood friend, and would often console her when boys called her "ugly". After coming out as a woman to her parents 13 years later, Itsuki is thrown out of their house and goes to live with her grandmother, who remained back in their hometown. When one of Hina's friends confronts her, Itsuki claims: "inside I'm a woman, and I like men". Although most of the townspeople accept Itsuki or regard her with mild curiosity, some leave hateful graffiti on her grandmother's house; Itsuki then confesses to Hina that even if she appears happy and carefree, she's had to face a lot of discrimination and hate wherever she went. In spite of all the hardship, Itsuki voices the desire to never again live as a man. She used to have a crush on Takashi, Hina's current boyfriend, but exposes him as a cheater when the three meet again.
