Age: 19 Shiki is the son of the now-disbanded Hogougumi's kumicho Sou Mikaido, and his omote no seisai (primary wife). His laid-back and flirty demeanor disguises a ruthless and aggressive personality. Because of his arm tattoo that signals his affiliation to Garyukai, he is nicknamed "Scorpion" by Tsukasa and the others. At only 5 years old, Shiki was among the few survivors of the final confrontation between yakuza clans Hogougumi and Garyukai, after which he fell into the hands of Garyukai despite Wakasa and Azuma's efforts to protect him. Since then, he has held a grudge against Wakasa, whom he considers guilty of abandoning him and his parents in their time of need. As part of Shiva's plan, Shiki is distributing Garyukai's "goddess' tear" drug within Kuryugumi territory and accompanying Shiva on his quest to track down any remnant of Wakasa. Although he talks back to Shiva, Shiki is secretly afraid of him. He is not truly loyal to Shiva either, as his only goal is taking back the body of Misumi Souryou, which Shiva's consciousness was transplanted into. Due to their lineage, Shiki and Tsukasa are half-siblings. He considers Tsukasa "more of a nuisance than Ryuuji Shirogami" while also being slightly afraid of her, and is one of the few people able to hold his own against her...most of the time.
