Velou is the main protagonist of The Hunters Guild: Red Hood manga series. He is a starry eyed young boy whose dream is to become a talented huntsman. Even though Velou isn't particularly good at hunting, he still tries his best to achieve his dream. He finally gets an opportunity to see how the real world of hunting is when the mysterious huntress Grimm comes to Kasoka Village to help exterminate the werewolf hiding nearby. A kindhearted youth, Velou tries to help and protect his village the best he can. He has a strong sense of justice, wanting to do things because they are good and the right thing to do. This mindset is both a blessing and a curse, as it has made Velou fiercely loyal to the people he cares about, but also naïve of the world around him.
